Living in Lakewood
I live in Lakewood, so this one's personal. It sits in East Dallas along the west side of White Rock Lake, roughly between Mockingbird Lane, Abrams Road, Gaston Avenue, and the lake. Much of it was built from the 1920s into the 1950s, so the streets mix Craftsman bungalows, Prairie four-squares, English Tudors, Spanish eclectic homes, and early ranches — many in native Austin stone — alongside newer homes where older ones have been rebuilt.

The game plan for buying in Lakewood
With homes this age, I plan for the inspection up front: foundation, a camera scope of the sewer line, electrical, and roof. Parts of the area fall within City of Dallas conservation districts, so if you're dreaming about an addition, we'll confirm what's allowed first. On the financing side, a renovation loan or a jumbo loan can be part of the plan — and we'll look at both together before you write an offer.
Selling a home in Lakewood
Selling well starts before the sign goes in the yard. We'll look at your equity, your likely net proceeds, and what buyers in Lakewoodare actually responding to right now — then prep what's worth it, skip what isn't, and price with the local market, not guesswork. If you're buying your next home at the same time, I can line up the financing on that side too.
